Transportation

Depending upon the size of the group, the students will travel in either deluxe A/C buses, Tempo Travellers or jeeps. Our fleet is carefully selected with experienced drivers, and the students will be accompanied by an experienced escort for the entire trip from Delhi to Delhi.

 Food and accommodation

Accommodation at Chamba (Hungama and Toofan) is in deluxe tents with attached western style washrooms (on quad share basis). At Mori camp (Jawla) the toilets are common eco-friendly sand flush dry pit toilets. Alpine trekking tents with floor bedding will be provided for the overnight camping expedition.

We provide healthy, sumptuous vegetarian food (including eggs) especially catering to the tastes of young children. One dinner during the program will be non-vegetarian. Our excellent kitchen staff ensures no one goes hungry on our programs.

  Safety

At HOB safety always comes first.

We strive to offer excitement, adventure and challenge without compromising on safety. Every activity is carefully planned, tested and fully supervised by qualified instructors.

HOB follows strict guidelines on safety as laid down by Outward Bound International, who also conduct rigorous safety reviews every year on our programs.

Our instructors are highly trained and certified professional and all the equipment we use is subjected to regular and thorough checks. We work with a 5:1 participant to instructor ratio, which is by far the best in the industry.

HOB instructors are some of the most experienced in India and have years of experience in handling children and students. Our instructors realize the need to stand back and let the students look for solutions on their own but at the same time they make sure that safety is not compromised at any point.

We provide basic first aid facilities in camp. However for any serious medical emergencies we have a doctor on call as well as a tie up with a good hospital 2 hours away from Chamba (for Hungama and Toofan) and 5 hours away from Mori (for Jalwa) at Dehra Dun. Basic medical facilities are also available within 3 kms of our camp at Mori.

A minimum of one female staff will be at hand to take care of our girl students.
